Tee times moved up an hour for Friday's BJ's Charity Championship

September 4, 2019

With inclement weather expected, tournament officials have moved the start time of the 3rd annual BJ's Charity Championship presented by P&G to 9:00 a.m.  The team event featuring 28 Legends of the LPGA will be staged at The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Mass.

First off at 9:00 a.m. will be the team of Jane Blalock, 27-time LPGA Tour champion and Ridge Club member, and her partner Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, a Legends Tour rookie. They are paired with the team of Legends Hall of Famers Elaine Crosby and Nancy Scranton.

The marquee final group that includes the team of Solheim Cup Captain Juli Inkster and her Assistant Captain, Pat Hurst, and the team of 7-time Legends Tour champion Rosie Jones and 2017 BJ's Charity Championship champion Michele Redman, will tee off at 10:30 a.m.

The teams will play nine holes of four-ball (better ball of partners) on the front nine holes, followed by nine holes of a scramble format on the back nine. The lowest 18-hole team score will determine the winners.

Admission to the event is free, but donations are welcome at the gate for the BJ’s Charitable Foundation.

Bobby Orr, legendary NHL Fall of Famer and Boston Bruin, will be the Honorary Starter and appear on the first tee to welcome the LPGA Legends and fans.

There is no on-site parking, but free public parking will be available at nearby Holly Ridge Golf

Course and includes shuttle service to and from the tournament entrance.

Gates will now open at 8 a.m., on the day of the event, with competition beginning at 9 a.m.
