Seattle Area Legends Tournament Postponed to 2021 Due to COVID-19

Juli Inkster will have to wait another year to defend.

The Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup presented by Boeing originally set for May 28-30, 2020, is the latest professional golf tournament to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament will be held again next year, June 4-6, 2021, at White Horse Golf Club in Kingston, Wash.

A statement from the tournament organizers:

With respect to our title sponsor and premium partners in the greater Seattle area and due to the escalating impact of COVID-19 nationwide, we announce the postponement of the Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup originally scheduled for May 28-30. While we made every effort to re-schedule this 3rd annual LPGA Legends tournament for later in the season, the uncertainty of the times as well as the availability of the venue made it impossible to set a new date in 2020.

The good news is, the tradition will continue. The Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup will be held again on June 4-6, 2021 at White Horse Golf Course in Kingston, Washington and feature 32 Legends of the LPGA along with four top Pacific Northwest senior women amateurs. It will include a pro-am on June 4 with post-golf festivities at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort and professional tournament rounds on June 5 and 6.

Our team at JBC Golf and The Legends Tour is saddened that we won’t have the opportunity this year to see all of the sponsors, volunteers, fans and of course, Legends, who make this event possible, but the health and safety of everyone involved is our top priority. Together with the Clearwater Casino Resort and White Horse Golf Course, we are confident we made the right decision.

Be well and stay safe, everyone!
