Started playing golf at the age of 6. Credits her father Brian, Wiffi Smith, Donna White and the late Dr. DeDe Owens as the individuals most influencing her career. In 2011 was inducted into the South Australian Sports Hall of Fame and the South Australian Golf Industry Hall of Fame. Is a golf television announcer for Golf Channel as well as PGA Tour Live and PGA Tour Radio. Nickname is “Crafty.” Currently President of the Legends Tour Board of Directors. Enjoys gardening, photography, fishing, cooking, wine and collecting golf antiques. A qualified pharmacist turned professional golfer, Crafter came to the United States owning an impressive amateur resume. She won the 1978 New Zealand Amateur and the 1980 Belgian Amateur. Additionally, she was runner-up at the 1977 Australian Amateur and the 1980 Canadian Amateur. Turned professional in 1981 and joined the LPGA in July 1981. Won the JC Penney Mixed Team Classic with Steve Jones in 1987. Won the Phar-Mor Classic at Inverrary on LPGA in 1990. Owns three victories in her home country, including the 1992 &1996 Australian Ladies Masters, and the 1997 Women’s Australian Open. Retired from the LPGA in 2004 and was one of the original founding members of the Legends Tour.
