Volunteer Committee Descriptions

Walking Scorer
Tournament – Sat & Sun   (Tee Time)
One scorer is assigned to each group to walk 18 holes inside the ropes and mark information on stat sheet.  Requires walking 18 holes and golf knowledge.

 

Leaderboards
Tournament – Sat & Sun  (10AM-4PM)

Keep spectators updated on scoring leaders and changes by manually operating boards located at clubhouse and on mobile boards on course.  Requires golf knowledge and ability to use a step ladder,

 

Media Tent
Tournament – Sat & Sun   (AM / PM)

Staff person in media center.  Register media, answer phones, supervise food service and monitor player interview area.  Golf knowledge is a plus, but not required.

General Staff
Pro-Am & Tournament – Fri - Sun       (AM / PM)
Provide added support throughout the event doing a variety of jobs such as gift bag distribution, answering phones and general office related duties.  

Marshalls
Tournament – Sat & Sun          (AM / PM)
An "inside the ropes" job, marshals help direct the flow of spectators traffic on the golf course and maintain quiet while the players are hitting.  Requires walking and basic golf knowledge.

Standard Bearers
Tournament – Sat & Sun (Tee Time)
One person is assigned per group to carry the scoring standard for 18 holes.  Requires walking 18 holes and golf knowledge.

Hospitality
Tournament – Sat & Sun   (AM / PM)
"Ambassadors" to help supervise corporate hospitality areas.  Monitor proper credentials for access, welcome guests and provide information.

Volunteer Headquarters
Pro-Am & Tournament   Fri – Sun   (AM / PM)
Official Hosts of volunteer headquarters area.  Direct volunteers to check-in areas, assist in organizing "pool" of volunteers to fill in areas needing extra help.

Admissions
Pro-Am & Tournament  Fri – Sun     (AM / PM)
Collect and sell tickets, programs at the tournament entrance and staff will call area. 

Shuttle Drivers
Tournament- Sat & Sun  (AM / PM)
The individual driving the golf cart is responsible for shuttling spectators through various locations on the course. Requires basic golf knowledge and ability to drive golf cart responsibly.

Ecology/Distribution
Pro-Am & Tournament   Fri – Sun  (AM / PM)
Drive the course and pick up trash and supply tees with water etc.  Requires being in good physical condition and able to lift heavy items.

Shifts
Unless indicated otherwise, the shifts will consist of the following hours:

AM Shift:        7AM-12PM
PM Shift:        12-4PM
Tee Time:       The shift begins at the tee time assigned and ends when the round is finished.  There are no substitutions allowed for these shifts.

       
       

PLAN TO ARRIVE AT LEAST ½ HR. PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR SHIFT

Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis.
