Giving Back to the Communities BJ’s Serves
BJ’s Wholesale Club takes great pride in being a good corporate citizen. Through their charitable giving, community relations programs and grants from BJ’s Charitable FoundationSM, BJ’s works to support and enhance programs that perform vital services within each community BJ’s serves. Here are a few examples of the important causes BJ’s supported in 2007:

  • St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools of Massachusetts (Hanover, MA) in support of the school’s mission to provide specialized living and learning environments to individuals with cognitive and physical handicaps from diverse backgrounds.
  • The Salvation Army® by collecting clothes and toys for children in need during the holidays in the 16 states BJ’s clubs are located.
  • The Diaper Bank (New Haven, CT) for the purchase of diapers for low-income families.
  • Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee (Bradenton, FL) for their Family & Baby Emergency Food Baskets, for families going through crisis and toward the Summer Snacks program, which donates nutritious snacks for children in partnership with neighborhood community centers.
  • First Tee of the New Hampshire (North Hampton, NH) to provide educational programs in the public schools that promote character development, life skills and core values through the game of golf.
  • The United Way of America®, through the support of corporate donations and BJ’s employee contributions, together, this helps a broad range of people and organizations in identifying and resolving pressing community issues throughout BJ’s footprint.
  • Community Welcome House (Newnan, GA) to support their educational outreach program and shelter for women and children who are homeless due to domestic violence.
  • The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA) to support its Women’s Cancers Program for both research and treatment.
